This is how Joey B predicted Gyakie’s rise to fame in 2019

Rapper Joey B surely saw the future two years ago when he told the whole world to watch out for Gyakie.

On December 6, 2019, Joey the Tonga hitmaker, introduced Gyakie to his fans via a simple tweet that read: “Gyakie will blow up and glow up.”

Exactly two years into the ‘prophecy,’ which was made when she was still a student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Gyakie is now the the highest streamed Ghanaian female artist.

On March 31, 2021, Gyakie’s Forever (Remix) with Omah Lay, released under the Sony Music Entertainment West Africa/Flip the Music imprint, rose to the number 1 spot on the chart in Nigeria with 1.83 million equivalent streams according to streaming figures and data compiled by Turntable Top 50 Charts.
