Two people arrested for sharing false information about Shatta Wale alleged gunshot.

Police arrested Kojo Owusu Koranteng, aka Nana Dope, and Eric Venator, aka Gangee, on October 19, 2021 for allegedly spreading false information to create fear and panic.
The arrest of the suspects comes in response to the alleged spread of false claims about the alleged shooting attack on Shatta whales.
Preliminary police investigations show that the widespread shooting attack on the Shatta whales yesterday, Monday, October 18, 2021, was a hoax.
Shatta Wale and another person commonly known as the “deportee” are currently being prosecuted for their possible involvement and their knowledge of spreading false information for the purpose of instilling fear and panic.
The Ghana Police Service has warned the general public to stop spreading false information or face the harshness of the law.
No one will be spared as police investigations reveal their possible criminal liability in this case.
“We want to warn any individual or group to stop making false claims and taking actions, which can disturb the peace of the country because the law will come after you”.
